Lahden kaupunki and UDT Technologies Oy have entered into a memorandum of understanding for innovative development in transportation and logistics. The parties aim to develop transportation and logistics service models that emphasize efficiency, customer-centricity, social responsibility, and impact.

The goals include:

• Promoting accessibility to electric transportation and logistics services
• Encouraging shared and public transportation usage
• Providing station services for various modes of transportation
• Defining service levels in urban areas
• Advancing technology development and service business
• Steering urban logistics towards an automated, efficient, and cost-effective mobility

The collaboration focuses on planning for an accessible city, a vibrant city center, and the diverse development of mobility and logistics services.

The core of UDT Technologies Oy’s developed services is the Urban track ecosystem, which enables highly cost-effective and emissions-free urban mobility with a unique aerial track. Within the collaboration, the suitability of the aerial track for the City of Lahti will be explored.
