In the DeMo research project coordinated by VTT and funded by Business Finland’s Decarbonized Cities program, the goal is to find ways and tools to promote sustainable modal shifts in urban transportation. The focus is on environmentally sustainable solutions that are also cost-effective for cities and commercially sustainable for the business sector. Social sustainability is emphasized, especially concerning improved service levels, accessibility, and availability of mobility services.
