UDT Technologies is a company founded in 2021 by Jussi Niemioja, Matti Saarinen, and Marko Panti. The business idea originated from the concept of innovating a new automated transportation ecosystem. Current public transportation is not efficient and environmentally friendly enough to meet the challenges of urbanization and climate change.

Urban behaviors and needs are undergoing a transformation, and there is global pressure to increase efficiency across various industries. Transportation and logistics play a significant role in enabling sustainability transition. If transportation and logistics were situated on a new layer, their development and automation would be easier and more efficient.

We are part of ITS Factory and LahtiGem public collaboration networks, engaging in diverse research and service development collaborations related to transportation with universities and VTT. In the future, we aim to expand our collaboration networks and engage in interdisciplinary cooperation with researchers and experts from various fields.
