Vision, Mission & Purpose

Our vision is to be a pioneer in sustainable transportation transition.

We aim to create the first fully automated urban logistics system in cities globally, with populations exceeding 75,000, starting in Finland. We aspire to be the enabler of unrestricted movement and a catalyst for change today and in the future

Our mission is to create a leap in the efficiency of urban logistics.

In addition to the modern and versatile air track system, we aim to co-develop a comprehensive traffic and logistics services ecosystem that enhances the vitality, competitiveness, and livability of the city while cost-effectively meeting carbon neutrality goals. We intend to significantly improve urban transportation and logistics, make public transportation appealing, and connect areas and modes of transportation

Our purpose is to create the missing piece in urban mobility

Our purpose is to complement and enhance the existing transportation system. The physical rail network and service ecosystem integrate the city’s transportation and logistics services, improving accessibility while increasing comfort and mobility for all demographic groups. The network’s nodes, or urban stations, serve users and service providers in a timely manner.

We assist cities in finding suitable, sustainable, and automated solutions for electric transportation and logistics. By bringing together collaborators within the network, we generate significant time and cost savings for residents.

The innovative, intelligent, and energy-efficient technology developed and manufactured in Finland not only creates jobs but also reduces the need for imports, contributing to economic growth. Automated technology within a closed system eliminates the need for a driver, reducing human error and, consequently, traffic accidents.

Why Urban Track Ecosystem?

Enabler of Free Movement

  • Users experience a fast, affordable, and pleasant travel on the air rail.
  • Traveling on the air rail is possible around the clock.
  • The mobile application enables timely interactions between users, services, and goods, facilitating smooth automated service chains

Advocating for equality for all

  • The easy-to-use features of the mobile application can assist various demographic groups.
  • To ensure accessibility, city stations utilize features such as light and sound guidance.
  • The air rail network can connect areas between tram and main bus lines in a novel way, enabling access to travel chains and services for a broader population.
  • Services like park-and-ride, shared cars, or even digital and mobile city services can be centralized within the reach of the network

Guaranteed
Safety

  • Automated transportation in a closed system enhances traffic safety. With no drivers or other traffic, human errors are eliminated. Sensors prevent capsules from colliding with each other, and the system is monitored by an operator.
  • When traveling as a larger group or family, capsules can be linked through the mobile application. Additionally, there is video and audio communication between capsules.
  • The mobile app allows, for example, pre-setting a child’s school commute.
  • City stations provide camera-monitored secure spaces for parking and charging bikes or electric scooters.
  • The individual capsule ride ensures safety

Response to Urbanization Challenges

  • The prerequisite for a vibrant city is accessibility. The Urban Track system enables new urban development possibilities without the reliance on private cars.
  • In many city centers, the ground is already densely built. Traffic congestion can be reduced by introducing the next layer of transportation. Stations can be built on top of stores or directly inside institutions such as schools, hotels, or cultural sites.
  • Getting around the city center without a car becomes easier. Goods transportation is brought closer to homes through the air rail.
  • The experience for cyclists improves, as they can service their bikes as needed at city stations. Electric scooter parking can be integrated into the stations.
  • This new, fast, and emissions-free mode of transportation may redefine the value of land and properties outside the city center.

Financially sustainable

  • The construction costs of the air rail are approximately one-tenth of tram construction costs. Its operating and maintenance costs are low.
  • Building and operating the air rail create local employment opportunities.
  • The air rail, with its city stations and mobile application, serves as a platform for business, providing visibility and better accessibility. It enables the discovery of new customers and collaborators.
  •  Revenue streams include not only ticket sales but also transactions from ecosystem partners’ services and advertising income, for which capsules and city stations provide a conducive platform.
  • More efficient public and shared transportation translates into cost savings for the city.
  • For individuals, becoming a user of the transportation ecosystem means lower fuel consumption, reduced parking needs, and, ideally, the opportunity to give up private cars altogether.
  • The proximity of the air rail enhances the value of properties and land.

Design considering the environment

  • The battery-powered capsule on the air rail is an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly mode of transportation, equivalent to an electric bicycle in terms of energy consumption.
  • There is no idling since capsules only move when they are ordered for use.
  • Traveling on the air rail does not generate air pollution, noise, or dust.
  • The modular components of the air rail, capsules, and city stations are designed to be easily replaced and recycled. This reduces waste and extends the system’s lifecycle.

Green urban planning

  • The elevated air rail frees up urban ground space for pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, recreational areas, urban meadows, and stormwater infiltration zones. Green infrastructure protects city residents from heatwaves, aids in flood management, and enables the preservation of biodiversity at the local level.
  • Pedestrian and bicycle paths, along with green infrastructure, enhance the well-being and enjoyment of urban residents. They encourage people to engage in healthy and sustainable modes of transportation.
