Who manages the travel chains

Last mile, electric driving, sustainability… the list goes on and on. But what is future traffic all about? We have identified one key item that is hidden in all the discussions. It is the integration of all present and future travel methods. We are working to combine traveling services together – from small city travel hubs to larger scale parking/service/center hubs.

Lack of travel chain management restricts ideas to develop into a feasible solutions. Travel is always a compromise of the present infrastructure and possibilities to select different methods to travel. The car is the most flexible (with sufficient speed and comfort), and the train and airplane being on the other end – for most of us.

It seems that the longer the trip the more we typically concentrate on travel planning. Booking tickets, reserving hotels, and so on. But when it comes to daily commuting and traveling, we tend to select the most flexible ways to succeed during the day. All the discussions finally end up with the words: “planning has to be easy, predictable – traveling must be on time, available and flexible”. That is the daily rhythm.

Why do we feel that this is important for us? Having the city travel hubs which integrate different travel modes and services. An application that combines and shows the availability and makes planning easy. Sufficient service capacity makes all this achievable. It is your personal ride and schedules that matter the most. Automated Urban Track, self-driving busses/taxis (on demand), electric scooters and any other can fill the gap. Maybe not just one alone, but efficiently combined.

An ecosystem and multifunctional approach will allow us to openly discover many travel-related services to urban densely populated areas. We aim to have the most comfortable, accessible, and efficient way to travel in cities with all the daily services integrated into it.

As an example, city travel hubs connect key city districts to remote (out of city center) car parking and service facilities. All the services are then a few minutes away from the point you let off your car. Converting these last few kilometers which takes 15 minutes to 2 minutes. Location “city center” will get a full new meaning because of accessibility to these new districts, similar way to some metropolitan areas develops around the metro lines.

Meaningful Impact

I still describe why formulating the impact is very important. That is one of the main reasons for our existence. So, how and why do we define our impact?

For complex systems, the impact seldom is just one sentence or one measurable figure. So how do we approach our case scenarios? First, we have main drivers for the impact: energy, capacity, and investment costs as the main drivers. Then we have all the additional values, which is a long list of benefits that are built or are naturally born into the system: zero-dust formation when driving, silence, on-demand services, high-speed transit, multifunctional, easy to use, accessible, predictable service, flexible construction, superior service from the ecosystem, and so on…

What is the difference between main drivers and all the additional features? We use main drivers to determine the business case for each track system. Those three items will always show us the payback time/cash flow if there is a desire to build a commercially solid transit system. In urban areas, that typically is the justification calculation of how the financing and ownership of the system are being made and the local financial effect on the local citizens or communities. This is always strongly related to the people flow where the services are needed as the transit already exists in another form of travel.

All those additional features are key points to drive the change; those are the desires that we have identified and will eventually fill. We have an out-of-the-box approach to set new ways for service, already from the smallest financially solid product, which can be part of a greater travel chain network. Once the smallest viable product is being installed, utilization of that system will allow financing for future expansions. This is a self-feeding system with present energy and service quality-based pricing scenarios.

It all leads finally to the figures.

Yearly, we can save hundreds of thousands of liters of gasoline; we can save hundreds of thousands of hours of people’s time.

We can serve millions of annual trips with relatively small installations. However, with the services provided by the ecosystem, we end up with tens of millions of transactions. It is very relative to think about the effect in a year or ten years. Know your essential basic parameters, and then do the analysis. We know our values, and these values are our vision.

We believe that tens of millions of transactions, millions of liters of gasoline saved, speed of travel significantly fast, and the most which begin when we can daily serve a significant amount of people with improved travel chains in public mass transit.

Co-operating to illustrate the impact will be our focus. We are modern in utilizing existing data, digital twins/world, and travel service mapping tools to define our position and what kind of change we can enable. This gives us the advantage of developing a co-operational work model to shape the travel scenes. We also have a nice thought of how our presence can be and how we will utilize the metaverse, the time is not yet right, but we are ready. We will discuss these possibilities in due time. The first focus is the impact illustration for new types of travel chains. Our belief is that finding a meaningful impact will drive the change. What is your way of presenting the meaningful impact? We believe in the freedom to travel.

Meaningful impact!

World is turning. Not only today, but already years the desires to overcome traffic difficulties has been a hot topic. How we are going to do it? We will bring our efforts to the pool in urban transit.
For generations we have been used to drive a car to get us to where we want. That has been part and reality of the freedom to masses of people.

And now where do we stand? We are in a society where the freedom is slowly slipping further, due to the fact that people are pushed to drive less, but there are not enough relevant alternatives to maintain living standards we are used to. Society has been built for so long with the support of freely moving cars.
There is the big picture. We need more relevant alternatives to support the freedom to move. This freedom is very relevant topic on present state of society and the feeling of freedom and happiness it brings. We cannot take back 100 years on how we have used to travel in couple of years – or not even in a decade.

Our solution will be effective where present systems lose their efficiency, urban areas. Space is limited, cars are slowing down, losing efficiency, and many of the present other alternatives are limited in fulfilling the peoples or public needs. We are going to fulfil one big gap with a relevant combination of technological innovations which meets today’s requirements in many ways. Innovation always requires a meaningful impact. That is a good learning when starting any thinking processes.
